Olivia Palermo might have been known as the b-word on The City, but most could agree she has some killer style. I was always Team Whitney so it's hard to give Olivia credit.
Anyways, I've been swooning over this outfit by OP for a while. It keeps popping up on Pinterest, so I'm obviously not alone. The skirt Olivia has on is originally from Zara, but is now sold out. I can almost guarantee that is the cheapest part of the outfit, so I re-created her look with some more affordable pieces.

Ever since I saw this outfit I've been on the hunt for a chunky cable knit turtleneck to pair with skinny jeans and mini skirts for the fall! More inspiration here and here.

Bites of My Life

I sat down to put together my "bites" post this week and didn't have a single picture on camera roll from the past week. It was a fairly busy week so I suppose that can be the reasoning for lack of pictures, but I couldn't pass up on my weekly bites post.
This week is a little different, I'm mimicking after Clara from Channeling Contessa and her Weekend Wishes posts. Below are things I've found on the internet the past week. Things I want to make, read, wear and decorate.
-I have had the biggest craving for salmon recently. Saw this recipe for feta and pesto salmon. With three of my favorite things, this recipe has to be good!
-A friend introduced me to the food blog Ambitious Kitchen this summer. It is quickly becoming my go to for recipes! Monique loves to do yoga, make healthy ingredient dishes, but also indulge. Me too girl, me too. Her recipe from last year for pumpkin bagels has me drooling. Read Monique's blog, I know you'll love it!
-After shopping in Dallas last weekend, I realized I gravitated toward anything with leather on it. Sweaters pants, purses, anything! I am loving the leather trend this year and this short sleeve cognac leather top!
-The most fun part of last week is that I signed a lease on a house with three of my funnest friends! We won't live there for another year, but we are all giddy with ideas for how we want to decorate! I love chalkboard walls and think our little kitchen would be the perfect place to incorporate one! Check out our new Pinterest board for more of our ideas!
This post isn't as personal as usual, but I kind of like the change to show you more of what I've been inspired by this past week instead of everything I've been up to! Hope everyone has a great week!

Bag Lady

This weekend in Dallas I was on the hunt for a new fall bag. Unfortunately, it was a complete strikeout. I said I wouldn't shop online for a purse, frankly because I am the worst online shopper, but I couldn't resist to at least try.
I think I might have come up with some potential prospects. What do you guys think? Any standouts? I am the worst at purse shopping and I need help!

Bites of My Life

My favorite time of the year is officially here! FALL! This means pumpkin flavored everything, football and cooler temps.
Last week I was still working on getting back in the swing of school. The week dragged on a bit, but the weekend flew by! Saturday was a scorcher but it was also the first gameday in Norman, OK. Nothing can go wrong when it's a gameday! My friends and I started the morning off with a little walk for breakfast at our favorite spot for; then it was time for tailgating and cheering on our favorite team.
Sunday morning, my mom, sister and I traveled southbound I-35 to Dallas for a little shopping and girls weekend. We took full advantage of the Labor Day sales being offered! After a full day of shopping we had a great meal, went to bed early then woke up and did it all over again!
{Bites from my week}
Snuck into the stadium last week for a workout and to get in the spirit for Saturday's game!
-PSLs are back. Thank goodness! This means fall is in full effect!
-Gameday with my sister who spent the day acting like she was still in college! She wishes...
-Amazing veggie fried jasmine rice for a pre shopping lunch at Malai in Dallas.
-Spicy lemonade and pressed watermelon/tomato juice by Vim + Vigor. We got these tasty refreshers at Number One (the coolest part organic cafe part clothing store) in highland park Village. Vim +Vigor is an awesome new company that was actually started by my sister's boyfriend's sister and cousin! They have a whole line of incredible cold pressed juices!
-The best part of our Dallas trip was trying out the new Sprinkles Ice Cream! The line was out the door but worth the wait. I got cherry vanilla in a red velvet waffle cone! I can't even explain how good it was. Mom got butter pecan and Kathleen got chocolate chip!
It was a great 3 day weekend! One of my favorite things about long weekends is that it means a short week follows! Enjoy this quick week ahead and happy fall!
